There was a table and chairs on the patio in front of the room where we had a filling breakfast each morning. The host was very thorough in acquainting us with the features of the room and providing us with guidance on the options for exploring the region. Our walks through the village to the train station each morning as we started that day’s adventures were pleasant as we marveled at the traditional Swiss homes, the lovely gardens, and the mountain peaks surrounding us. We were glad we had chosen to stay outside Interlaken - the atmosphere was quiet and friendly.

We decided to extend stay, which was met with great professionalism and service from the staff. The rooms are clean, spacious and cozy. The breakfast was very good! We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to stay at the Interlaken area and get excellent value for money.

Marcel was so welcoming and came to talk to us every breakfast, he provided me with gluten free bread every day and gave us lots of tips for our travels. He was very sweet and helpful. The scenes from the house were breathtaking and the location was perfect as it was about a 10 minute walk to the train station. The bathroom was not in the room but was no issue whatsoever as we were on a floor that no one was on. I would love to stay at another property of Marcel’s again and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful and comfortable stay in Switzerland.

Very good breakfast available and the weather was nice enough to have it on the terrasse. The view from our room was beautiful and the area is quiet.
