Very very nice hostel in Salento, close to the center of the town, but enough far to not be disturbed by music or noise. The kitchen was well equiped. The room has a small locker for valuables, the beds were quite comfortable and each one had an electric plug. The staff was super super nice!

The whole experience is very homelike and welcoming. Finca San Miguel is clearly a labor of love for the two proprietors, John & Felipe. The house, gardens, & fountains are lovingly cared for; the proprietors have created a veritable Garden of Eden. The meals are simple, fresh, and well-prepared. Meals are served alongside delicious juices, & the best hot chocolate & coffee imaginable. The rooms are very comfortable, and you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the frogs singing at night. The proprietors will help you find the famous Willy Jeeps that take you back-and-forth to Filandia and can assist in arranging local trips. This is rural tourism at its best.

Guests are welcome to eat in the on-site family-friendly restaurant, which is open for dinner, lunch, brunch and cocktails. This studio apartment, nestled in the heart of Armenia and just a short stroll from the bus terminal, offers a tranquil oasis with its charming garden, creating a serene ambiance. The interior is tastefully furnished with a blend of simplicity and sophistication, featuring two spacious and cozy beds. It served as an ideal home base for exploring the eje cafetero area. Monica, the owner, was the highlight of our stay, always available and immensely helpful. Her local expertise, having grown up in Armenia, provided invaluable insights for newcomers to the area. Staying here surpassed the experience of a typical hotel in the city. Looking forward to our next visit, Monica!

The views from the compound are astounding, it feels like you are in the middle of the jungle despite being only 8 minutes away by foot from Salento. Highly recommend!
