Helped with tour bookings, allowed us to leave bags late on checkout day awaiting afternoon flight, organized taxi to airport. Gave advice on best ferries to take from Santa Cruz. They understand tourists needs, know how to provide service and are great at it. The location is a 10 minute walk from town. I rated location as excellent as Ecuadorian towns can be noisy in central areas and this tiny walk afforded best sleep in weeks. An escape.

At the inn, each room includes air conditioning and a safety deposit box. Very friendly small hotel, great breakfast, the owners was very helpful and interesting to speak to. Our room was large and looked new with good air con. It is in a nice and quiet location but still only 5 minutes walk to restaurants and bars. Isabella is so nice, much quieter than Santa Cruz but still with lots of places to eat and drink.

The guest house has family rooms. For a fraction of the price of a fancy hotel, La Flamecos provides the most (if not more) than most of the other hotels on Isabsla. First, amazing location almost surroundded by a picteresque lagoon beloved by flamingoes. My room overlooked the lagoon and I woke up every morning to the magic sight and sound of flamingoes beginning their day and "quarelling" over their territory or the food, or some other flamingo business. The hostal is 1 block away from a beautiful beach (you could hear the waves from the room, but could see them only from balcony outside), restaurants, and tour agencies. It is 5 minutes car ride to the ferry and Concha de Perla, and 10 min walk to the tortoise breeding center. Further down there is a Wall of Tears hike too. Second, on an island with no pavement I had a reliable endless HOT shower in the room! Asking around, even people who shelled out top dollar for beachfront hotels had lukewarm shower. Third, clean bed and room with refrigerator, a/c, balcony to hang the swimsuits, and a proper mosquito net. I tended to use little a/c, but kept my windows open and did not get bitten once. If there were minor annoyances (tiny sink, little ants, dirty spot on the wall, etc.), I just dealt with it, because I could not possibly expect more than I got for the price I paid. And finally - amazing, warm, welcoming staff. Melina and Olga were always there if I needed ANYTHING. Extra blanket, beach towel, advice on tours, taxis, anything I wanted and at any time of the day. By the end of my stay it really felt like being part of their family. Thank you for a wonderful stay and magic memories of Isabela!
