JJ guesthouse is a wonderfull place. The all family is welcoming, and always smiling. You will feel like home. The rooms are spacious, fully equiped (AC, fridge etc) and beds are very confortable. The house is perfectly located with an amazing rooftop with Nile view. On the rooftop the best chef of Aswan will take care of you and served you delicious breakfast. We could wash our clothes here, wich was usefull. Do not look for another place, book here and you wont regret it. We were really lucky to be there and we hope we will come back one day. The location in elephantine is very good not to close but not to far from Aswan city, and Ahmed was very helpful and always with a smile!

I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

The guest is in the island, with beautiful scene and very quiet.

The whole room was clean and has everything we needed. The host even provided a freezer to always keep the water cold. Our dear host drives us everywhere when needed - to the temple, to find a lovely Nubian restaurant for dinner, and to even pick us up from the Temple visit. We really appreciate it

The guesthouse has a beautiful view of the Nile, with an amazing rooftop terrace. The atmosphere made us feel completely at home. Uncle Mahmoud, the owner, is such a classy and kind person—he welcomed us with fresh guava juice and went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He arranged a reasonably priced taxi for a full day to visit the monuments and even offers boat tours on the Nile at fair prices. The kitchen is available if you want to cook, and it’s easy to cross to the city center for just 10 Egyptian pounds. On the day of our departure, Uncle Mahmoud woke up early to help with our luggage and sent someone with us to ensure everything went smoothly. These are genuine, honest, and wonderful people. We can’t recommend this place enough!
