Buxton
At the guest house, every unit is fitted with a wardrobe, a TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. A fridge and kettle are also available. Additional in-room amenities include fruits and chocolates or cookies. Our stay in Kingscroft was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The interior of the house is highly decorated and stylish. The majordomo - the man of the house - took great care in explaining everything and taking care of us and other guest during our stay making us feel welcomed. The room we stayed in was nice and spacious. Breakfast offers a wide variety and generous portions. In the evening you enter your selection for the next day. You can select from variety of cereals, fruits, yoghurt, there is an english breakfast with beans option, avocado toast, various types of croissants, teas, smoothies, crumble... They offer a good number of vegetarian and vegan options and these are not an afterthough. Their modest library cointains books on local hikes that we took advantage of. Location of the the accomodation is also pretty good. On a map, it might look far from the Buxton center or from the train station but that appears like that only on the map. Buxton is a small town and it's about 15 minutes from the train station and maybe 7 minutes to the main square where buses leave from. It's also a short walk from the Solomon's temple up on one of the hills overlooking Buxton.

Everything was perfect! The room was so lovely & felt very private & quiet. Hosts were super nice and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit bowls, cereal, yoghurts and very tasty freshly cooked hot food! Great location for Peaks walks, just a short drive away.
Nice location within walking distance of town centre, Cheap and cheerful cafe called "snack box" a short walk away and open from 6am for the early raisers! Nice encaustic tiled floor in hallway. Private lounge area adjacent to room with sofa and TV was very nice. No-fuss check-in with code box. Rooms were spotlessly clean and towels provided, comfy bed. Room was nice and quiet being away from main roads etc. Did not use the kitchen or the Wifi so cannot comment on those.
Lovely quiet little cottage in a great location. Although the annex is part of the farmhouse it is very private and peaceful, and feels quite separate. Very friendly helpful hosts who let us house our bike in their barn. Lovely comfortable bed and bedroom, really good shower, good facilities throughout, cosy sitting room and kitchen, everything you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful area.
Located on one of the towns main streets, but still quite quiet - no adjacent pub & not much traffic. Comfortable guest sitting room (shared). Secure private parking. Excellent breakfast. Friendly host.

Excellent breakfast and good choice of evening meal. Accommodation was in a quiet just outside room with ensuite which we actually liked as rather charming. Very good shower and comfortable beds, plenty of space for storage of clothes etc and good coffee/tea facilities, including delicious biscuits. Good bathroom toiletries. Soft fluffy towels very good room lady.
Luxury and stylish describes the overall impression you get on arrival. Loved the welcoming bottle of fizz. Great to have bath robes and hot tub towels. Beautifully furnished fabulous bathroom all finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Great location, very quiet, easy walk to town. Good communication from hosts and any staff we met were friendly.
Everything! Cheaper than a Travelodge and Everything was just as good. Big bathroom, big mirror, lovely door mirror, USB plugs, amazing food. Slept well, good room temperature. Great location, in city centre. Free parking. Friendly staff especially at breakfast and reception. Clean everywhere!
