Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious. Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely. There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.

We received a warm welcome from Bryony and Chris and had a separate outside entrance to the room and our own parking space. The room was comfortable and spacious with a very comfortable bed and a lovely clean shower. The view from the light-filled breakfast room of Hope Cove and the sea in the distance is fantastic. Lots of space on the breakfast table and a good selection of fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, toast, warm croissants and delicious homemade jam. A cooked breakfast was offered on Sunday. 30-40 minute walk over the hill past flocks of sheep to Hope Cove where you can have dinner. The location is perfect for the coastal path and Bryony kindly gave us a lift to East Soar in the morning so we could get to the coastal path to Salcombe quicker. From there we took the bus to Malborough in the evening and another 20 minute walk back. We felt very comfortable - even during the short visits from Toasty 🐶 and Alex 😼 Thank you very much - it was nice with you!
