The prestigious Almorah Hotel was built around 1841 and is a listed building of great importance. It is situated in an elevated position above the town of St Helier with magnificent views over the town and its interesting harbour filled with a mixture of fishing boats and private yachts. Overlooking Bouley Bay, this 4-star guesthouse with an outdoor swimming pool occupies an countryside setting in Trinity. Originally built 200 years ago, the guesthouse maintains some original features. stayed in a junior suite for about ten days. I was waiting for a call regarding a sports commitment, which in the meantime required relaxation and tranquility, as well as easy access to the sea. At Undercliff Guest House, I found everything I was looking for, plus the added bonus of surprising kindness from those who welcomed me. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, everything clean and fully functional. I wasn’t there for a vacation, but it was still a wonderful, comfortable, and restorative stay. From the property, there are at least a couple of trails that lead to exploring the coast, walks of several kilometers immersed in nature where birds of all kinds reign supreme. Go there, it’s beautiful.

The rooms were comfortable, and the owner was very kind. She served the breakfast herself with patient humor for two travelers who were just starting out on their next big adventure. We even came back to stay one more night at the end of our adventure.
