The cabin was incredibly charming: cosy, well-equipped, and beautifully set against a peaceful countryside backdrop. Tony was the heart of the experience: warm, thoughtful, and full of character. He paid close attention to every detail, from the room setup to offering coffee and tea, and preparing delicious breakfasts each morning, which we enjoyed while looking out at the fields (with cows!). The use of a kitchen gave us added flexibility, and Tony’s conversation made us feel right at home. Every element of this stay was heartfelt and idyllic.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Braeside Guest House, Loch Lomond is a guest house set in a historic building in Drymen, 18 km from Mugdock Country Park. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. The guest house has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests.

With a private bathroom, units at the guest house also feature free WiFi, while selected rooms also boast a terrace. We were walking the West Highland Way and this was a perfect location within easy walking distance of places to eat dinner. We stayed in the pod, which was modern, clean and quiet.
