The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.3 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. I've been impressed about everything. I never experienced such a high standard on facilities, not even in famous hotels! Sharing the bathroom was not a problem at all as it's kept extremely clean. The location is just perfect! Linda is extremely attentive, kind and responsible, she clearly represents the welcoming and educated character of Japanese people! If you find this gem available, don't waste your time looking for alternatives!

The host was phenomenal, she made us breakfast and each day was a different region. She also had amazing recommendations on where to tour. I want to come back to Kyoto again just so I can stay there longer!

Location of the guest house is also a benefit - very close to both Nijo Castle and Imperial Palace.

It might even be the most beautiful room we've ever stayed in, not to mention the most beautiful village. Chiaki is the best host - she helped us book an incredible Sushi dinner at Ichii - highly recommend. She made us a divine breakfast the next morning in her lovely café below the accommodation. I only wish we could have stayed longer, as it was heaven! We really hope to come back again one day.

I'm so sad we only stayed here one night. The hosts were so nice and made everything feel easy while we were there. We just needed one more night in Kyoto and this place was so much better than the first place we spent most of our time. The room was small, but just what we needed. There was good tea and when we realized we had missed printing a ticket that required a hard copy they printed it for us quickly and made sure we had it right away. I loved the breakfast here. It was a nice mix of things and they let us sit in the larger room since no one was staying in it when we were there. We will for sure try to make it back to this location when we make it out to Japan again!
