Set in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station and a 13-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 東山の宿 藤屋 offers air conditioning. Among the facilities at this property are luggage storage space and private check-in and check-out, along with free WiFi throughout the property. The property is non-smoking and is situated 1.3 km from Samurai Kembu Kyoto. -Strategic location to explore the historical Kyoto alleys and temples; a taste of daily life of the locals -The hosts’ hospitality was unbeatable, they really made the stay feel like a home away from home. Despite the unstable weather conditions I felt safe and enjoyed my tea time when there was need to stay indoors. -I received some sensible advice and was fortunate to be at the amazing 建仁寺 illumination experience which I had no idea before. -There was even a night tour, I learnt so much about the Geisha culture and had an unforgettable night view, the host’s passion for Kyoto was infectious.

She made a dinner reservation for us and it turned out to be the best dinner ever. She makes the best coffee in Ine too! The breakfast she prepared was lovely and she even made fresh waffles. The room was super clean and there was a choice of gibli movies to watch. Perfect stay in Ine!
