In addition, the location of the guesthouse in ideal as you can walk to many places such as the famous tree, the library and the onsen itself. Also, the room is spacious and the bed is comfy. I slept like a rock. Before I left, I had an insightful and fun conversation with Yurijo. Thank you again. Hope to see you and stay at the guesthouse again.

At the guest house, each unit has a wardrobe. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. At the guest house, the units have a desk and a TV. We loved every second of our stay at IKOI in Yanagawa. The guest house was a lovely half hour walk from the train station along the canal in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. We loved strolling around the area and it was easy to get to boat rides and restaurants nearby. IKOI itself is wonderful and had everything we needed. Warm room (can't say that about every place we have stayed at), super comfortable beds and other amenities in tip top condition. The view of the garden from the cafe is honestly worth the price alone, it's breathtaking. It's hard to believe you're not in the countryside when looking out that window. Finally, I have to dedicate a paragraph of this review to Jo, the owner. He was so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. He helped us with figuring out transportation, he called a restaurant for us to help with a reservation and he recommended some local places that ended up being the highlight of our stay in Yanagawa. I cannot say enough great things about our host, just 10/10. Overall, our stay at IKOI was wonderful and I could not recommend this place more!

Coffee, tea, and cocoa are available and we received home-made muffins each morning. You could spend all day here and on the beach outside. Be sure to go to the cafe on the first floor which is run by the same organization and is also very artsy and bohemian.

The host was very nice and I would stay again in this house If I come to Arita anytime soon

The owners were extremely hospitable, from helping make reservations for restaurants and activities on the island to greeting us when we come back from a day of exploring the island. The owners prepared meals as well, which was exceptional. We loved the architecture and atmosphere of the accommodation itself, as it was a newly renovated traditional home. Thank you Masumi San and Oo San, we loved our stay here so much I could not speak highly enough! :) <3
