In our opinion, the food and service could not be faulted, and Suresh, the owner, was an impeccable host, and provided a very personal service. The room is big, the breakfast is very tasty. We also were picked up and dropped off at the railway station in Nanu Oya, very hassle free for us.

The host speak a very good english, and has been Very kind and helpful. He offered me a juice as soon as i get there and gave me great suggestions on what to do in the area. He also has a tuk tuk and is always willing to drive you around the area (he room me to adam’s Peek in the middle of the night) but is no pushy about it. The food I had was great and the apartment looks pretty new and very clean (european standard, i’d say), tidy and smells good. The area is a bit off the beaten track, but worth a trip (tea plantations all around, lake views, nice locals) and is very easy to reach by bus from Hatton.

Well located in Adams Peak, Water Side Residence provides a continental breakfast and free WiFi. This guest house offers free private parking and room service. The accommodation features private check-in and check-out and a tour desk for guests. We stayed here for a couple of nights because we wanted to climb the Adam's Peak and well, the Water Side Residence was the perfect choice for us - it's located near the entrance of the hiking trail for the Adam's Peak (like 5-10 minutes walk or less). The hosts were lovely, ready to share tips/suggestions for the hike, as well as ready to answer any questions we might have (not only related to the Adam's Peak). There's a cafeteria upstairs, at the entrance, and you must try the food there - everything was so delicious, from the noodles to the omelets and all the fresh fruit juices! Our room was a wooden cabin a few floors downstairs from the cafeteria. It was so peaceful there! Beds were comfortable, there was hot water for the shower, plenty of power plugs, and there were mosquito nets at the entrance (so we could keep the windows open during night to cool the air in the cabin). Would definitely recommend this place if you plan to climb the Adam's Peak :)
