The authenticity and location in a residential area off the Cornish was perfect. It was so nice to spend my first 2 nights in Oman in a place so comfortable and easy to walk around and begin the journey with peace and safety. Places to eat nearby and the fish market and the views of the sea. I was so totally happy there. PS I loved opening and looking out the windows and the WI-FI was so good.

The village has a supermarket for most of your needs and is still very close and accessible to Muscat. The room itself was clean with all electronics and airconditioning working perfectly. It was easily one of our best stays this year and I would recommend it without hesitation to all. The only point to note would be to have a vehicle to get around.

Occupying a beachfront location, Lanavilla is a contemporary guesthouse villa situated in Muscat. It offers free Wi-Fi in public areas and serves breakfast buffet every morning. Muscat City Centre is a 5 km away. Really enjoyed my stay at Lana Villa. The two ladies who run things day to day are so lovely and helpful, they prepared breakfast early when requested due to a trip I'd booked, let me use their iron, and offered to store my luggage for me after I checked out. The omelettes were great too! The owner Oliver is also very nice and always introduced himself to guests, and offered tips for travelling in Oman. The villa itself has some nice shared spaces such as the roof terrace and the main lounge downstairs, with books and travel guides. There's also a shared fridge for guests to keep things in which was useful. Overall a great stay and good location, about 10 minutes from the airport by taxi.
