We wanted a stay that was close to our son and daughter-in-law and this fit the bill. We have grown weary of the big chains with their one sided loyalty. The rooms are spacious, there is a wonderful common area to relax and visit. With only 2 rooms, it really feels like home. Breakfast was brilliant! An authentic British breakfast greeted us in the morning along with a proper tea from the kettle! I can't say enough with regard to our stay. Helen was a delight and we really felt an authentic friendly connection.

The rooms are very comfortable and all have record players which was fun to play a few a few old albums. The interior design and furnishings made for a very homely and relaxing atmosphere. There were so many little extra touches to add to that “come in & relax feeling”.  The owners were lovely people who made us feel like we were visiting their home as friends. There was a cozy sitting room upon entering with a fireplace & the dining room, where we ate a delicious breakfast, was gorgeous. The breakfast was to DIE for, the ambiance was gorgeous from the music playing in the common areas to the charming curated collection of antiques. The Innkeeper, Amanda, was a sweetheart and so fun to chat with (not to mention a total wizard in the kitchen). Her evening sweet treat concoctions on the mantle always tasted like heaven.
