Let me begin by saying—this place hits different. From the moment you step aboard, you’re not just a guest; you’re family. It was my first time traveling solo in Egypt, and I can’t overstate how effortlessly Ahmed, his sons, and the crew lifted every worry off my shoulders. Ahmed is a man of honor—respected by many, dealing in fair prices, and carrying a heart as vast as the Nile itself. He speaks of his crew as dear friends and leads his sons with a just and fatherly tone. His love for his work makes up for any expectation of luxury, because what he offers is something far greater—care, connection, and a genuine warmth that no five-star hotel could ever provide. I arrived during the first days of Ramadan and had the privilege of witnessing Ahmed and his crew preparing meals for those in need. But more than that, they welcomed me into this tradition, even inviting me to his home for dinner—a gesture of kindness I will never forget. And then there’s the room. Breathtaking doesn’t begin to describe it. This isn’t just a river view; it’s a window into the soul of Luxor. The city’s heartbeat pulses through the waves that crash against the boat’s exterior, a mesmerizing contrast to the dusty streets beyond.

Love this boat! The staff was specially friendly, ready to help us solve all our needs, always on the watch, anticipating everything. The sightseeing tours were super well organized and coordinated with local agencies and tour guides. The food was varied and tasty and everything was done on a perfect schedule. All the spaces of the cruise, including the rooms were elegantly decorated, with comfortable beds, bathroom small but very functional. Super recommend it!

The Historia is I think the best way to experience a Nile cruise. Staff: - From the time you enter the dock you are welcomed with smiles from the staff and drinks to keep you cool. - Check-in was a little slow but we were very comfortable waiting at the bar lounge, once the staff were able to assist they came to us to help us check in - Generally the staff go out of their way to make you stay as comfortable as possible Meals: - The food and all meals prepared were amazing, we loved sitting on the upper deck listning to live music and taking in the stunning sunset on Nile as we enjoyed amazing meals. - Breakfast choices are vast and delicious. - The chef and his su-chefs do an amazing job everyday to give you the best possible culinary experience/. Tours: The tours provided by Historia were at amazing locations - our tour guide was adequate and knowledgable however be careful if you need to do anything extra such as seeing other locations, you must negotiate clearly with your tour guide with respect to cost and price. We had a small missunderstanding when we requested an extra visit to the Valley of the Queens (which was not part of the original tour) Room: Our room was amazing, for a river boat we had more than enough space and comfort. My only issue was it was quite close to the engines and the room isolation from the engine noise was not that good

The cruise was very nice and relaxing. All the people in the staff were super friendly and really focused on giving us everything we needed to have a great time there. Mr Sa'id organised everything perfectly, with care and attention. He was always responsive and found very good guides for our day tours. He even gave us a SIM card to use during the trip.

    Beautiful hotel in a boat on the West Bank! Easily accessible with the public ferry which is a few minutes away. Staff is very nice and very helpful. Good restaurant as well! I had a great time there :-)

    I wish i could give them 10 stars. Ahmed and his boys are friendliest people i met in egypt. They treat you like a family like you really feel it at home. Such a budget friendly Floating boat Hotel neat and clean air conditioned rooms, their service everything was 👌. Excellent job they are doing. I would definitely reccomend it to all the tourists visiting Luxor. It was such a unique experience and beyound my expections. There is nothing to complaint. Excellent, Bestest of Bestest in Luxor.
