I spent a very relaxing two nights on the houseboat, spending the first day travelling south and spending the night next to the rice paddy islands, then the second day returning along the other coastline. The food was consistently fantastic, with absolutely massive portions 😅

Jose was a good host who kept in touch after our booking and took down our food preferences. During the stay, our cruise pilot Siraj and Nawaz(chief) took very good care of us and also explained to us about the village and the festivities that happen there. Boat is kept very clean. We oved lazying on the boat n reading our books as we cruised along. I would recommend Kalappura houseboats to anyone who is travelling to alleppey. Just send Jose ur preferences with regards to food or accomodation and he will make arrangements accordingly.

This is a MUST in Kerala. With my husband and a couple of friends, we took a traditional ultra deluxe cruise and spent the night on the boat. It was an unforgettable experience. The landscape is breathtaking, and it's beautiful to see how the scenery changes as you navigate through the wide or narrow canals of the backwaters. We spent one night, but I would have loved to stay another day. In the evening, the boat docks in a place where only we were, creating a peaceful and excellent relaxing atmosphere. The boat was impeccable and comfortable, truly flawless. The food was exquisite, offering a wide variety for those who wanted to try the delights of Kerala cuisine or those who preferred something more international. The staff was very friendly and had excellent communication. Unforgettable!

Fairly new houseboat with all the mod coms available. Good Wi-Fi, excellent size rooms, amazing and plentiful meals all the way through. At night they created lovely atmosphere during dinner, great crew that will get off there way to help, and plenty of activities during the day.
