The food was exquisite, offering a wide variety for those who wanted to try the delights of Kerala cuisine or those who preferred something more international. The staff was very friendly and had excellent communication. Unforgettable!

We booked one night with Why Not Houseboat and had an exceptional experience, it was our favourite day of our trip to India. Seeing the backwaters from the elevated deck was a major bonus, bringing better views and constant fresh breeze to keep us cool. The boat and our room were very clean and the facilities were in great condition. The boat itself was gorgeous, and incredibly picturesque, made in traditional wood and bamboo, unlike the vast majority of other boats on offer made of plastic & metal. The food was amazing and great value for the huge spread the chef cooked for us. It was the fanciest meal of our trip and yet it was also one of the best value for the quality and quantity of the meals. We had a truly memorable time with the lovely crew and were absolutely thrilled that the boat moored at night in a beautiful quiet spot to watch the sunset and spend the evening. Having breakfast the next morning on the top deck whilst cruising back to the dock was the perfect end to an incredible experience. The boat owner was incredibly helpful and friendly and ensured we got our travel to our next destination sorted. When booking our trip, we deliberated for a long time about which Houseboat to choose and we were immensely pleased that Why Not Houseboat proved to be worth every penny.
