We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! From the moment we arrived, the hosts welcomed us with warm hospitality and made us feel at home. A lovely surprise was waiting for us in the fridge – a delicious breakfast that was just what we needed after our trip. We loved staying at the quaint little ‘Ofenhaus’! It was everything we expected, based on the Booking.com description, and maybe even a bit better. :) The cleanliness was exemplary! I really am quite exacting concerning hygiene — and this place was literally spotless! The whole place smelt of fresh laundry when we walked in — it really doesn’t get any better than that! The water temperature and pressure in the shower are great! Since both my husband & I have long, luxurious hair, this is a crucial point for us. Many holidays have been ruined, alas, because of bad (cold, weak) showers — but not at the ‘Ofenhaus’! Everything works to perfection! The location is really quiet & calm, but the beautiful medieval town of Murten can be reached on foot (via a short walk of 1km). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would definitely book the ‘Ofenhaus’ again if we happened to stay in the area in the future!

    The hotel, which is in the lovely little village of La Neuveville, is in an old and very charming house. The host is super friendly. The hotel has a pool (not tested). The breakfast is rather basic, but there’s an excellent selection of cheeses and homemade jams. The coffee is good. The bed was very comfortable. Warm water came very fast.

    Super cute vintage vibes studio in a cute village. Really liked the ambience, it was perfect for a night stay, but would also be suitable for a longer stay to go for hikes or strolls around the lake. Stephanie the host was very helpful and kind.
