A unique place to explore Tortuguero. Primo and his family are lovely people and were very helpful to make our trip a very nice stay for us as family with two teenage daughters. The property is very clean, the beds very comfortable, the Wi-Fi works excellently. The interior decoration is very good style (if I am not mistaken, many decorations are produced by Rodrigo and his wife). The house, is located slightly outside the center of the village at the edge of the jungle: at night, the sounds of nature are fantastic! Special mention goes to Rodrigo, his wife and Arturo, our hiking guide. Great people, extremely kind and helpful. Such friendliness is a rare commodity these days! I highly recommend the proposed tours, Arturo is extremely knowledgeable and will make you experience unique moments!

Excellent atmoscferic accomodation inside a farmwith nice host family. They take you for a tour on they farm. You can see and listen frogs in the evening and see nice starview. Absolutely recommend.

The location is perfect for Tortuguero - right in the middle of the main street. We chose the main hotel with one room opening right into the lobby and another off to the side. Normally i wouldnt want that but we loved it for this particular location. I wouldn't have changed it. FYI they also offer a guest house with shared washrooms and living room/kitchen area just around the corner. There are no cars so it is nice to just walk straight out and everthing is right there. The floors are mosaic tiles with turtles and crabs laid in them. I loved them. The private rooms are big and the beds are comfortable. Casa Thirema arranged for our pickup from San Jose and our excursions ( we did the lookout over the Caribbean Sea on our boat ride in - long hot walk up the stairs but amazingly worth it for the views, private kayak tour through the canals and a night walk [Angelo was amazing] - recommend them all) and our transportation including boatride and taxi to Puerto Viejo afterwards. Very easy - so glad i didnt have to figure that out on my own! Tortuguero is unique and well worth the trip! A secluded area that is a must see in our opinion. We feel like our trip just started in Toruguerro. We had already travelled all through Central and a lot of the Pacific side of CR. If you haven't been to Tortuguero you have missed Costa Rica's gem. They call the area that you boat in on the "Little Amazon" and it is so rightfully named. This was and is still the highlight of our trip - we are still travelling down the Caribbean coast. I would definitely recommend staying 2 nights though, especially during turtle season - we were off season so we missed out. This is a true look at how People live in this area. No 5 star hotels or chains here. If you are looking for resort style life don't bother. If you are looking for unique unforgettable stop - this is your spot.

Brilliant location, minutes walk from the village and virtually on the beach. The accommodation had everything you need, including aircon and an outside area. The staff was extremely helpful. Tortuguero is so full of wildlife. This was a fantastic experience.

    The price was great for private room with a big bed and I especially enjoyed the air con. Also the kanoe tour I booked through the hostel was amazing, it was a little more expensive than some other options in town, but we were only three people on a small boat while other groups were on big and loud motor boats. The hostel is kind of hidden in the back of the village, but it has a view of the ocean, which is stunning!
