The location was as expected, a lovely peaceful part of France and just what I needed to unwind. The facilities were very comfortable with a Supermarket within a two minute walk where i purchased some local produce to enjoy that evening. The heating worked really well and I was warm all night in a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a good powerful shower. I will definitely stay again in the very near future.

Perfect stay, the host is a very kind welcoming lady, the house is a cosy typical French country house with a lovely garden and pool. Everything is spotless clean. We loved the owner’s taste and small details. Don’t forget to ask for Cognac tasting recommendation at local producer.

I can’t describe how beautiful the place is. Situated in a small cozy village in the middle of the French countryside, the “gite” is very peaceful with a huge garden, own pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The house is spacious and has a modern bathroom and in the kitchen you can find everything you need for cooking including a gas stove which I personally liked very much! The owners really know how to make you feel most welcome, and their friendliness and hospitality give your stay that little extra personal touch. Everything was spotlessly clean and tidy too. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay for longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Les Cignes Noir, it was really a great discovery on our way home from Spain! The rooms were beautifully decorated, the pool area a great place to stay in the afternoon, the children had a lot of fun in the small but very nice pool. Paul and his wife were extremely nice and helpful, and the recommendation for a pizza dinner in le triskel in Matha was also perfect. And we enjoyed the very nice breakfast with homemade Muesli and Yoghurt a lot! We can absolutely recommend it and would love to come back!
