Very nice seemingly family run place... the young man was pretty fluent in English and met us at the reception desk to give us the keys and the gentleman (dad?) showed us the room. It had a lovely countryside view with the water in the distance. The bed was a little firmer than we are used to so we opted to sleep in the main area (it was as larger anyway) and give the room to the kids. The bathroom shower really is tight, but the whole ambience of the place as a whole definitely made up for that. It is lovely and peaceful-it truly felt like a little retreat. The food was pretty good in the restaurant there too. The kids bought a parachute toy from the airborne museum and the man seemed happy to see the kids playing and even dropped it for them off the balcony. we liked everything! It’s a super nice guesthouse with a beautiful garden, lovely and very helpful owner and the location is excellent on a quiet street with 150 m to the Bayeux tapestry museum and 300m to the centre with the cathedral. Breakfast is absolutely delicious with several sorts of bread, croissants, home made jams and even freshly made French toast.

    Perfect location for us to visit all the sites we planned to see (D-day). Very quiet village. Owner was very helpful, sadly our French wasn't as good as his English..but we managed to sort things out. Lovely to have freshly cut garden flowers to welcome us (+a bottle of local cider). Rooms were exactly as per the photos. Clean and comfortable.

    Our host Michel gave a fabulous welcome to a wonderful independent gite with safe parking, a huge gated garden for us and our dog to enjoy with patio, the accommodation was a rustic treasure that relaxed, all amenities, comfortable, clean, spacious, highly recommend, we will definitely return, commes is a great location by harbour port village and close to Omaha, Bayeau so all the museums and landing sites etc easily accessible
