Lovely two bedroom house in a rural village close to Epernay in the Champagne district. There are no shops in the village but it is very close to villages with all facilities. You need a car to fully appreciate the joys of Champagne here, but I’d argue that you do anyway. Guided tours of somewhere like Champagne can change the leisurely pace that life is lived here and limits the special little things that can be done like pic-nics, walks among the vines and fishing in La Marne. The house is impeccable in cleanliness and in style. It’s made to be a home away from home and has every possible amenity including washing machine and bikes. You can walk around the village of Vinay and do tastings at the many small Champage houses there.

Everything was great. Our hostess, Ruby, was delightful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool offered a nice place to relax in the afternoon after a day of sightseeing. Espernay is an easy and scenic drive away but make sure to eat dinner there since no option for dinner in Saint Martin.
