Fully functional cottage apartment with separate lounge, kitchen and bedroom. Well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, clothes which all are wecome by longer term traveller. Peaceful, tranquil and immersed in the country on a working sheep farm. In the centre of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, ready access to many walks and points of interest. We took the stream train from Pickering to Whitby. Local Co-op close by provides basic necessities, plan ahead for roasts and more detailed meals. Superb in floor heating.

It was hidden out of the way which gave us a beautiful view of the stars at night. It was so quiet and dark! The property was lovely inside and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Thankyou so much for our stay!

Cottage was great - very well appointed and kitted out. Housekeeping was excellent. Location was good but the wintry weather made leaving on the last day difficult. Short walk to Esk Valley line station made access without car to places easy. Cottage is located in a very beautiful valley. We would definitely consider staying here again.

The host was very friendly, answered all our queries quickly and was very flexible when we were court in the middle of a storm during the end of our stay and it was dangerous to travel back home. The property was very comfortable, warm (in very cold weather), in a lovely peaceful location and was a good place to come back to after a busy day of working.

We needed a quiet and relaxing break and found the perfect spot. Secluded and wild feeling but within easy reach of anything you want or need. We loved the peace and tranquility, a proper escape from the hustle and bustle of home.

    The location was perfect. A beautiful little village nestled away with stunning views yet with every amenity you could want - 2 great pubs, a tea room, co-op, playground and a train station direct to Whitby! The cottage itself was so quaint and cosy, modern yet traditional. Comfortable beds, everything you need, nice and clean!

    Perfect for a family of 4, kids didn’t mind sharing a double bed. Very spacious, nice and quiet little village with lovely views. The cottage was very clean when we arrived, a lovely welcome pack on the table. Lovely pub in the village also. Perfect if you wanna get away from it and just relax.
