The service was fantastic. After waiting 40 mins for a taxi, the manager took us in his car rather than us wait. I thought this shows true customer service and consideration for guests - we'd already checked out at this point too. The grounds/buildings are beautiful.

So peaceful and restorative. Private and surrounded by fields and country hedgerows but I always felt very safe and secure. Had everything that I needed for my stay. Spotlessly clean, spacious enough for myself and one other adult I was staying with. Having the deck and grass area made it feel even bigger. I looked forward each morning to looking for the local bird life and listening to the horses. Extremely well equipped with everything I could need and more. Very inviting. Just the right amount of furniture which was all very comfortable and practical. Comfort of pillows and beds were great and helped with recovering from Jet lag. Aesthetically pleasing and carefully thought out design interior and exterior Great location. Short Walking and driving distance to beach and local cafes. 20 minutes walk or 5 -10 minutes in the car to the local railway station which I used regularly to quickly travel in to Liverpool. The welcome basket of bread, cereal and eggs etc was very much appreciated and enjoyable. Most of all was the friendly, welcome and kind hosts Pam ( who I got to meet in person) and Bob too who maybe I will meet next time as I am already planning a return trip. Pam's communication from when I first contacted her before I left New Zealand was so clear and helpful and nice that I was already looking froward to meeting her. She was so supportive and informative and accommodating and did even extra to help out with the logistics of me arriving after a long flight. When I first saw the information about the lodge on the Booking.com website it had everything that I was looking for In fact I was wondering if when I arrived whether it would be as good as I had imagined it would be..It was even better! I am so glad that I booked to stay. Nga mini Nui, A huge thanks for everything

We had to leave a early the next morning before breakfast but the host got up and made coffee and toast for us. Offered to do scrambled eggs etc Found the host very obliging and went out of her way to facilitate our early check out.

    Fabulous historic buildings and estate, we absolutely loved staying there! Large natural meadows, loads of garden space to exercise our dog. Really comfy bed. Good shower. Classic room.Crockery provided. Good size tabletop fridge. Heater when needed. Walking distance to nice pub and historic village. In countryside yet only half hour drive from centre of Liverpool. Would very happily stay again!

    Check in was one of the smoothest check ins we have ever had with Air B n B. The apartment was nicely decorated and made you feel very much at home.... Lovely fully equipped kitchen. Lovely big windows and the fact that there was a car park, made things a lot easier. Just 5 mins. walk from the quaint village of Heswall.
