Absolutely beautiful location. The cabin was super clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay (including hair dryer, wood for the fire, microwave, cooking utensils, a fridge, board games and more). The space feels modern and well taken care of. You can tell they put a lot of effort into keeping it super clean and welcoming. I was worried I’d feel scared being a bit isolated but I didn’t at all! There were two other cabins next to us and some houses down the road so while it’s very peaceful and remote, there are still people around to make it feel safe. The staff was also very kind and responded to my questions immediately via the app. Highly recommend it!!

Lex and Caroline were extraordinary hosts. We arrived very wet after walking all day in the rain ...Lex drove us to a nearby pub for dinner ...meanwhile Caroline put our wet boots and coats to dry by the Aga ...by morning everything was dry and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast.

Dilston Mill is beautifully located with large gardens bordering a stream. We stayed in the ground floor studio which comprised an entrance hall, very spacious room with king size bed, seating area and facilities to prepare small meals including a fridge and microwave. There is also a large bright bathroom with a big walk-in shower. Our host Susan did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. Nothing seemed too much trouble. She was super friendly and gave us lots of good advice about local walks, pubs etc. Susan does not supply a cooked breakfast which we knew in advance. Instead, she gave us great breakfast choices and left everything in the room for us. This included croissants, choices of breads, continental cheese and ham selection, fresh fruit, yogurt and a choice of cereals. We loved the fact that this gave us the freedom to have breakfast in our own time and space. We especially liked the friendly welcome and the fact that we were allowed to walk and, weather permitting sit in the beautiful garden right by the stream. We could not have wished for a better place to spend a few peaceful days.

Great location in the Northumberland wilds, close to Kielder Forest. I stayed in the upstairs apartment. Very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. I highly recommend this establishment and would not hesitate to book again.

    Large, clean room, The food in the restuarant was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The site is in a very part of the world. The village of Bellingham has nice pubs with good food.

    The interior of the house was extremely good. Clean, comfortable and well laid out.it was nice to have a separate lounge so children can walk tv and play games in a seperate room. Wark is an attractive village, and within reasonable driving distance of the places we wanted to visit.

    Wonderful place to stay, with such a cosy homely feel. We was greeted with a nice little hamper, and guide book. The kitchen was a lovely size and had everything needed to cook, including a dishwasher which was really handy. The bath was huge and the ambient lighting topped it off. The beds were really comfy & clean. It was a wonderful stay and would definitely return to either this property or any other run by Hexham Holiday Homes.
