We had dinner in the pub - it was great (well, not London great, but definitely north-England great) We had breakfast - it was generous and very good. The location is great. Setting is absolutely stunning . The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. We did a walk from the hotel to a waterfall and on to White Nancy, a rather unique folly (about an hour but be warned it is very hilly!). We stopped at the nearby Bulls Head on the way home for a well deserved pint! We had never visited this area before and were blown away by how lovely it was - well worth visiting. We also visited nearby Lyme Park - highly recommended. The hotel is comfortable with a pleasant restaurant. Large, comfy bed (Superior Double).Guest review byPeterYoung couple
