The owners were brilliant and welcoming. The Doggie Manager was very professional and friendly. The food was better than most restaurant standards. Room was set up perfectly. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay. They treat you like family.

If you want to spend some time in a luxurious English country house, this is the place. It is approached from a long gravel drive, and then the magnificent house itself becomes visible. Our accommodation (in the Stables) was spacious, comfortable and clean, while the breakfast (extra) was very good.

We enjoyed an excellent stay at The Granary in advance of our wedding. The property was perfect for our needs and was a very useful base to help us prepare for the big day. The hosts in particular were very warm and welcoming, and were there for us should there have been the need for any additional help. We would definitely like to stay here again!

Such a relaxed and friendly couple who made the stay even better with their natural warmth and friendliness. The building is absolutely spectacular. Built in the 12th and 15th centuries with incredible original features it is simply a privilege to stay in such a historic house. The bedroom was perfect and the beds were excellent. The shower room is beautiful and the shower hot and powerful. Excellent cooked breakfast too. Terry could not do enough for us. The outside patio was a little paradise, so relaxing. A real suntrap. And we played table tennis , pool and petanque in the front yard. There is nothing to not like about this place. A haven away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Highly recommended. We will be back!! Thank you Terry and Lynette. You are an amazing couple and fabulous hosts.

    Really traditional but nicely updated pub with rooms above. Great location in a quiet village with easy journey into surrounding towns. Room had all facilities including tea, coffee, water and the bathroom well stocked. Immaculately clean.

    We're all vegetarian and were cooked a lovely veggie breakfast each morning with endless teas or coffees. Nothing was too much trouble. From the breakfast area there's a wonderfully scenic panorama of the village green, village sign and thatched cottages. A beautifully quintessentially English village setting. The host's Spaniel dog was much adored by our six year old son.
