Location: right in the centre, close to 199 steps, plenty of good places to eat and drink close by, at the same time accommodation is hidden inside a quite narrow street. We stayed in Room #2 facing a nice and peaceful inside yard of neighbouring accommodation. Room: not too small, just a decent size, at the same time with a spacious bathroom and a big shower (at least twice bigger than what you usually can see in similar accommodations). Very nice amenities - hot chocolate, coffee, Yorkshire tea, milk, 2 cups, 2 water glasses and even a wine opener and 2 wine glasses! Communication: was on a very high and well-organised level - from messages with all necessary instructions through Booking messenger to a folder in the room with a warm welcoming message from the owners, recommendations about the city and even a breakfast menu. Small details: the place is very warm and cosy, with a lot of nice details and decor in the common area and room. Breakfast in Sanders Yard: didn't try unfortunately, were still too full after dinner, but menu looks good, prices are average for that area but in-house guests have a 10% discount. One more bonus - direct access from the accommodation to the cafe. Parking: we got a message prior to our arrival about possible places where to leave a car. Car parking on Church Street is very small, no chance to catch a spot there on weekends or bank holidays. We left our car in the parking near Abbey, the price is the same (9£ / 24h) but much more space.

Lovely room with a TV and small fridge with water and juice, tea & coffee facilities with little pots of porridge for breakfast and was lovely and clean. Nice friendly welcome from Gill as we arrived, and only a short walk into Whitby, we would definitely stay again 😊

    The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, the room was small but we knew that when we booked it. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Just a 3 mile journey to Whitby. 2 pubs in the village the Salmon leap did food, the Plough didn't but it had only just reopened.

    Cosy, peaceful, quiet, lovely! Everything thought of, from welcome pack of bread, tea, coffee, milk and very nice biscuits, to lots of little bathroom and general extras. Would be great for kids too. So many games and things to do. If you want a walk up towards the River Esk side of the village, the public footpath to the left of the cottage is a pretty walk by the brook, avoids the long hill up. You’ll not avoid hills later, of course, but is a pretty nature walk.

    Absolutely lovely hide away in Sleights. Stayed in a few places in the village and this hide away is by far the best. The apartment is clean and tidy with everything you need. Central to Whitby and local walks into the York Moors. Clive & Serena are always happy to help and available whenever you need them. Thank you so much for our lovely stay. Would recommend the apartment 👍🏻👍🏻 & would recommend the cinder track walk into Robin hood's bay.
