What made this visit even more special was our very first tea ceremony. It completely opened our eyes—we finally understand how tea should be enjoyed. It was calming, thoughtful, and deeply enriching. The owner’s passion and deep knowledge made the entire experience unforgettable. You can feel how much he cares about sharing his culture and craft. He also went above and beyond to help us with directions, which was a lifesaver since Google Maps can be completely unreliable in Georgia. Gregori and his parents are lovely people who shared their home with us. Gregori speaks English and showed us his little farm. He gave us travel recommendations. We enjoyed plenty of homemade delicious food (best Khatchapuri Georgias) and wine. It is a wonderful place to relax and come in touch with Georgian life in the countryside. An amazing opportunity to experience the authentic life of a typical resident of Georgia, or any post-Soviet country, on a housing estate. A very helpful hostess rents several lovely fully equipped apartments here. I returned to Chiatra for the second time and when I come again, I will definitely stay here again.
