Hadi has built a truly special place in a stunning corner of East Java. His lodge is beautifully crafted, the room we stayed in was so well built & designed, a gorgeous outdoor bathroom, good working air con & a water cooler, very comfortable bed and lovely little deck area. The grounds are stunning and perfect to relax in. Hadi and his staff went above & beyond to accommodate our needs & make sure we were happy and comfortable, even posting my earphones to me when i accidentally left them in his drivers car! He is a truly wonderful host (one of the best we had in all of Indonesia) and a very kind person. We hope to come back one day soon.

We highly recommend staying at Juda Homestay! The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He helped us organise a trip to Ijen and had banana fritters and coffee ready at 2:30 am before we headed out on our trip. When we got back, he had a delicious breakfast and coffee prepared. The room was super spacious and clean. This is the perfect place to stay if you are planning to go to Ijen.

Super modern and clean homestay. Lots of great and quirky messages and bits around the place. Great stop off in Banyuwangi. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast included was super tasty. Would defo recommend staying if your in the area!

We really loved the hosts! Ericka and Marc made us feel at home and nothing was too much to ask. They arranged our tour trip to Ijen, our laundry and our entire trip to Canggu after (taxi-boat-taxi). They really went the extra mile! In addition, the garden and food (breakfast and dinner) at the stay were amazing. Ericka and Marc also recommended us a lovely walk nearby the place during sunset. Would definitely recommend!

We arrived by train from Yogyakarta very early (6 am) and although check-in was at 2 pm, they kindly allowed us to use the pool and common areas until our room was ready earlier than expected (at 12 pm). It coincided with the Independence Day celebrations and the hotel staff organized games, inviting us to join as part of the family. Everyone was very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

Everything was so great! The homestay is isolated and so confortable. We ate there the best nasi goreng of our whole life, homemade by his parents. Ali and his family are very nice and kind people, they like to share their experience advices. We had the opportunity to go to the Ijen with his father who is, like Ali, an old miner. We had the chance to go to the Sukamade Turtle beach with him and his friend and it was an incredible experience ! We also saw a man who make palm sugar and tried it, so delicious and natural. We recommand it, you can go there if you want a real experience.

The showers are a bit playful (one less than the other tho I let you discover) Except of that it's a little piece of paradise. Very kind owners, incredible looking wooden houses surrounded by nature.     Haddi and staff can’t do enough for you. There is much to see or do but it not usual holiday place. I stayed for 8 days and was so well looked after. Don’t miss the turtles but so many other things to see and do. If you want nightlife not for you but if want to connect with nature this is the place. Haddi is doing an amazing job from a fisherman to someone building ecotourism and looking after his home village can’t rate it enough. Food every day is amazing and he rents a scooter as well you can see and do so much. Can’t wait to go back.
