I originally planned to stay at Secret Surf Camp for just two days but ended up extending to a whole week. The atmosphere is peaceful and calm, cozy environment that makes you feel like at home. The owners and the team working there are so kind and welcoming, adding extra bonus to the place. If you are looking for a relaxing escape with great vibes this is the perfect spot. I don't even know where to start: this is THE place to be when you visit Padang! The host Dila is incredibly sweet and welcoming. She makes you feel at home right away. She knows where to take her guests for local and cheap food, and she even knows some good options for vegetarians. Dila knows many hidden gems in and around Padang and she takes beautiful pictures and amazing videos of the places that she visits with her guests. The room is clean, and breakfast very tasty. I only stayed one night, but Dila already feels like a friend. I highly recommend her place to stay. The accomodation is outside of the center of town but don't let it stop you from staying there. Bayu and his wife were super friendly and greeted us like friends. The homestay was very nice but our highlight was the tour we booked with Bayu the following day. We very like this homestay where we stayed 4nights. Easy to communicate in English with Feby, our super host who helped us in many ways : sim card, atm, taxi driver, laundry,... The guesthouse is very nice with garden, secure parking, a lot of place for kids can play, ... kitchen, fridge, air con, laudry available. The room was confortable with big bed and the pillow and bed sheets were so soft and confortable. All is perfect. We will come back again!
