After traveling all around Bali, i can comfortably say that this is the best place you can stay. The villa and the whole garden is beautiful and very tranquil. It’s really a piece of paradise just right below Mount Agung and directly beside the ocean. But the best part of it all is actually the staff and the owner, Chery who is incredibly kind, helps you with everything and cooks amazing food (the best i have had in the whole Indonesia). She can also help you to organize trips to the other parts of the island, so you can see everything, but still stay in a calm place, far away from the tourist crowds. This place quickly becomes your home in Bali, can absolutely recommend it.

Kind staff, good service. The facilities are great and especially for diving and snorkeling the location is perfect. Gede was a wonderful dive guide and the dive sites are beautiful. The restaurant in the resort is good and there are also shops and warungs nearby. We will definitely be coming back!

An outstanding place on the island. We were looking for something away from the crowds in the south and we found it. The hotel is located on the shoreline, wonderful coral reef in front. Very intimate and pleasant place because the resort has only 6 bungalows. Easy to make friends with other guests. Staff wonderful and courteous. They will handle everything you ask. Massages, trips, drivers, diving, off-card dishes - you name it. I do not recommend listening to comments from people who complain that they came to the jungle and there are ants and bugs or that the beach is rocky. Yes Bali is a volcanic island and the beaches are naturally rocky. Local supermarket and ATM in walking distance. We are very happy we ended up in this place and will miss it.

We loved this place because it's not in the town, so you have all the peace and quiet you want with a great view over Mount Agung on one side and the ocean on the other. The property is well maintained, the rooms are small, but comfy, the pool is great for cooling during a hot day, there is a fully equipped kitchen, and also the staff is very helpful and friendly. It's close to beautiful snorkeling and diving places and not far from Amed. We spent 11 days here, and we wish we stayed longer. Do not book this place if you can't ride a scooter because it's half an hour walk from the town of Tulamben. If you don't come here on scooter, Oka, the property manager, will get you one at a fair price.

    The staff were amazing, the staff and the owner did everything to make our experience memorable. They were flexible and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the owner prepared food off the menu on request. Even went especially to source ingredients from the market to prepare us something special We would highly recommend Retreat Villa Toraja to anyone who wants to relax

    What a place. We are so fortunate to have booked Toraja’s villa. This is by far the best stay we had in our month in Indonesia. The food is freshly made by your host personally. The rooms are perfectly clean. It is quiet, relaxing and everything is just perfect. We loved it and would want to come back preferable yesterday. They’re the most kind people in the world. Toraja is truly a blessing to have stayed in this paradise and we think everyone should visit. Again thank you so much for everything. ❤️❤️❤️

    Beautiful beachside resort set in lush tropical gardens. Much better than the online photos suggest. Staff and particularly Chery (the owner) provide amazing service and delicious food. Highly recommend a stay at Villa Toraja.
