Beautiful and very cozy little Homestay with a wonderful garden and hang out area and a lovely little cafe. They did everything to accommodate us and we felt extremely relaxed and taken care of. They’re were all so lovely and we could have easily stayed for 2 or 3 days if we didn’t already have a guesthouse payed for in bajawa.

The room is simple and comfortable. One of the cleanest place I have been in Indonesia. The real reason why you must go there is to meet the family. The best family I have met in Indonesia. I extended my stay there. A piece of my heart is there and I hope to go back again one day. You really feel part of the family. I went to the market with them, they bought a lot of Indonesia food and and we had a food testing. Since I loved their bread, when I left they gave me bread, jam and bananas. They can also support you with the bus reservation and you can rent a scooter. The food is amazing but this is well known because the restaurant is also in the Lonely planet. Jeff is such a great host along with his family. The home is really nice and the room was very comfortable. Bathrooms are shared but are more than adequate and clean. Also, the showers have hot water. The house is located out of town a bit, but that is a benefit as it is quiet and you get really great views from the home and near the home. Also, Jeff can arrange transfers and whatnot if you need to get into town. The morning sunrise trekking was such a highlight. Jeff took great pics and also knows the best spots! The dinner in the evening was also a highlight as you get to meet and eat with the other guests and discuss travel plans and feels very much like a community. The food was delicious. As a sidenote, if you are there, try to find out if there is a Caci Celebration happening at the same time. They don't happen very often, but if you are there at the same time as well, make sure to go see it if you can. I was lucky to go see one while i was there and was probably one of the best parts of my trip. Additionally, if you want to arrange a bigger tour (seeing Tado village or Spiderweb Rice Fields), talk to Jeff about arranging that for an additional reasonable cost. I would gladly come back here and hope to come back here in the future.

This is thé Flores home experience! Very friendly, inviting and welcoming family. Irwan helps out planning your stay and can arrange everything for you. Ernesta is a great cook and dancer, and their 2 kids are a joy! We visited the “hobbit cave”, the Ramenese lake and did the flyingfox zipline and the traditional market at Ruteng. And to top it all off we where invited to a local wedding party 🥳!! How special is that! We loved staying with this beautiful family.
