Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! This place is absolutely beautiful and really amazing for scuba divers! The small bungalows are super cute and comfy, I was sleeping in a dorm but it really felt like a private room. The food is great and it’s super nice to have your plate ready for you when you come back from diving. The dive center is right there so you can book dives pretty much whenever you want and the dive guides are really good. As for the rest of the staff, they’re really friendly and helpful, then can arrange pretty much anything for you from ferry tickets to motorbike rental or laundry service. I highly recommend staying at this place!

The homestay is really nice! It’s by the beach and you have lots of corals just in front. The food is excellent :) The family is very welcoming and nice I highly recommend :)

We loved staying at Famangkor. We enjoyed the family feel of our hosts all pitching in to look after the guests. Friwen wall and the home reef were handy and great snorkelling spots. Very good price. Food was good. We enjoyed the short walk to through the trees to the village. Loved the tiled bathroom. Could easily have done a couple more snorkelling trips from here but we only stayed one night to be closer to Waisai.

This is by far the best accomodation we've been in the area. Resort style facilities without the high resort price tag or crowd. It's more expensive than a homestay but the price difference is definitely worth it if you want comfort or a beautiful accomodation. We stayed in the overwater villa and it was great, very clean, wifi, electricity, felt just like being in a 4 star hotel. Staff is very friendly, excursions great and they are very helpful with anything that you need. Reef is amazing (lots of fish, turtles, moray and occasional black tips and white tips), overall a 10 out of 10 experience.

Everything! The best of 5 places we stayed in RA. Clean bathroom, spacious room with comfortable bed.terracce with two big sunbeds. Nice position. Very good food. Very nice and professional staff speaking English. Wi fi. Always possibility to go somewhere shearing the boat. The prices clear and competitive. And one of the most beautiful reef especially towards a small island between Kri and Mansuar. The diver center very professional and all divers were very satisfied.

Husna is super friendly and carrying. She organized a scooter, ferry tickets and lundry within just a view minutes. The rooms are super clean and beds are comfortable. They are basic, but keep in mind that you are in a tropical island- for us the roomequiment was sufficient and clean. Breakfast was also delicious (Omlettes, toast with differents spreads, fruits, and baked bananas.) 100% recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Frances, what a exklusive and luxurios place. Just 2 wonderful and huge huts in great design, right on top of the reef and in the middle of wonderful original Kurkapa Village. Very friendly staff, excellent food (delivered by the kids of the family right to our huge terrace). What more can you ask for - an island paradise, with a wonderful house reef right in front of the hut. Lots of fishes and sharks living there. Hopefully we´ll be back soon! Katrin & Markus
