We were greeted with warm welcome. The place was very peaceful. It was only a few minutes drive in to Bandon. The accommodation had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy. We would highly recommend.

Lovely rural location with very spacious accommodation. Good to be able to sit outside. Well equipped kitchen and nice to have fresh milk. Didn’t meet the host but helpful via messages.

It is situated in a lovely place and secluded but yet it is close to clonakilty and Cork. Noreen and Joe are lovely and friendly and go out of there way to accommodate times for breakfast etc . We were so happy that we made our booking for next year when we were checking out

Both of the apartments are very nice and cozy and I loved the way I was "adopted" from the owners! They invited me over several times to grab some tea or coffee and helped me out quite a bit, as I was dealing with house-seeking in Cork. Trevor is an amazing host, very available and caring, he built that house with his own hands and you can tell that he cares so much as everything is cured in the detail. The apartments are provided with any comfort and if you still need anything Trevor will always be around to help. The owners have an adorable dog, Sam, who will come and cuddle with you if you're having a bad day! In the end, the only way to discover the many surprises that this place and the host offer is to stay at the Mariner's Rest!

The staff were super friendly, very personal, yet never overbearing. The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything we wanted to explore was within walking distance, and there were convenient parking spaces right in front of the hotel. Highly recommend!

Lovely place. We had a room with a double bed and a single bed. It looked smaller on the picture. It was so much bigger! Plenty of room, tea and coffee facility in the room, lovely bath. Close to the two churches and the city centre. The staff was so nice and hospitable. Our flight was delayed and they waited up for us. The breakfast was the best I have ever gotten in any hotel. We are definately coming back.
