My friend and I stayed at Bertra House for our Croagh Patrick hike, and it was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we felt so at home thanks to Margareth and John John’s exceptional hospitality. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and safe, even offering us rides to and from Croagh Patrick when the weather turned rainy. Their thoughtfulness didn’t stop there; they even dried our clothes after the hike! The location is perfect—just a five-minute walk to the beach and a quick ten-minute drive to the starting point of the hike. Bertra House itself is charming, cozy, and incredibly clean. It’s easily one of the safest and most welcoming places we’ve ever stayed, and we’re already looking forward to seeing Margareth and John John again next year! Highly recommended for anyone planning to explore the area.

It was very relaxing to stay here. There are no neighbors: the house is surrounded by trees. The apartment is spacious. As a group of 5, we were very comfortable. Highly recommended!

Very clean and modern separate building. Lots of easy parking right near the door. Comfortable and quiet, with excellent bathroom facilities and comfortable beds.

Great property, lovely decorated, sea view included, we loved everything about this except the check in instructions which were long and non informative. We were left waiting in the rain because nobody told us to check in through the hotel reception. Better communication would be recommended
