great location not far from Monaghan town. very homely and welcoming. our host Liz was just fantastic. She’s a lovely person and has loads of knowledge of the local area.

I fell ill and the owners really looked after me.😅 They arranged medical care. They could not have been better. The facilities were excellent. The breakfast was adaptable from a full Irish to a glass of water. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Meadows again. I had a good sized double room on the ground floor just off the entrance hall. It had an elevated outlook over trees and fields, yet was a short walk into the centre of the town.

We were attending a wedding at Castle Leslie in the afternoon. Host allowed us to check in early and gave us a lift to the venue. Couldn't have asked for more!!!

John fabulous host. Bed extra comfy had the best nite sleep. John even offered to run us to the wedding we were attending, just that wee extra touch.

Breakfast was outstanding with lots of variety. Theresa was very accommodating and picked us up by car and shuttled us back and forth to Monaghan where we had scheduled a plant visit at CombiLift. We had a delightful time with her and the owner of the home where she is running the B&B. The view from our window overlooked the lake and we were overwhelmed by the beautiful landscape. We would highly recommend staying at this location if someone is looking for a unique experience. Nothing like Irish hospitality.

We have stayed with Maureen several times and each time we feel welcomed. She is always pleasant and has our comfort in mind. The bed is one of the most comfortable we have slept in in all our trips to Ireland. The breakfast is very good and the selection is complete also. She and her husband have been very helpful and provided accurate directions. we will definitely stay here again. I enjoy their hospitality and conversation.
