This place has an amazing view of the fjord from its windows. It’s super clean and the bed is the most comfortable of all the beds I’ve slept on in Iceland. The washing machine and the dryer are a plus. The breakfast was really good with warm bread and scrambled eggs, etc. I cannot possibly ask for more!

Bjarni was treating us very well. Everything that wasn’t available, he brought over in no time and also helped us with everything. Really nice and easygoing hosts. Awesome hottub and Sauna. Can also highly recommend to visit their restaurant just a couple meters away. Also ask him about Jürgen Klopp ;) you will feel welcome here!

Our stay was extremely pleasant. Grenivik Guesthouse has been a beautiful surprise in the North of Iceland after days of camping. We would've definitely loved to stay longer to enjoy the peace, the comfort and the landscape. The house was very clean, our room was very comfortable and big enough for two, and all the common spaces were really well organized so we had our privacy but also some lovely interaction with other guests, and the hot tub has been a very pleasant extra to enjoy at sunset. But the best part of our stay was definitely Ingólfur, the host. His welcoming was very warm and kind, he was very open and helpful as a host, he gave us a lot of tips as soon as we arrived, and prepared us a really delicious breakfast with a lot of local ingredients. Ingólfur was also very kind to stay with us during our breakfast -and even longer- to talk with us about Icleand history, traditions, culture, geography and all the curiosities we had. He has a special place in our hearts.

We liked everything although the cottage was a bit hard to find when we were arriving at night. Beautiful views from everywhere, one of our favourite stays. Clean and perfect for a small group.

The location is AMAZING and the little house makes you feel you are in a fairy tail. Even if we didn't get much in contact with the owner, check in and out was simple and easy. Very clean facility and is highly recommended for anyone who wants to clear his or hers mind of city noise.

The room was spacious, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. :) the view of the lake was amazing, the location was queit and about 10-15 minutes drive to reach Akureyri. Kitchen with basic things.

Amazing home and welcoming staff. After many guesthouses, this felt like home. It is in the middle of nowhere - exactly where you can find peace and serenity.

We have forgotten to lock the key for the bungalow in the safe and took with us to Reykjavik. We sent it via Airmail, so it arrived the same day in Akureyri. The people have been very nice and there was no anger in any way. They had to pick up the key in Akureyri. They told us not to mind for our mistake. This is exeptional. Many thanks to the people from Brimnes Cabins. We'll be back.

A good location for a stress-free getaway in Ólafsfjörður, Klara Guesthouse is a guest house surrounded by views of the mountain.

As we were making our way to Eastern Iceland, we selected a few places to spend the night and cut the long drive in small pieces. Ytri Vik Cottages was one of them. Check-in was smooth - we simply picked up the key to our cottage from a lock box. We were welcomed by an outstanding view of the fjörd down below, parked the car right next to the cottage and in we were ! The cottages have large living rooms with kitchen areas, one bedroom and one bathroom with shower. Big bonus : a hot pool for each cottage, which we could enjoy after dinner in the nearby village of Hauganes. All in all, a very restful stop. Wish we could have stayed longer in the area and enjoy a second night, but there's just so much to see in Iceland ! :-)
