The hosts were already awaiting me, a nice couple! While the location is quite remote, it was perfect for me, being on a 6-days-motorcycle trip in Liguria. Can specificially recommend also for TET-riders, if you come down from Colle di Garezzo, or plan the next day go to Colle die Garezzo and then to Via de Sale. If you are 1.80m like me, watch your head :) This aweseom, super silent village was build so long ago, when people didnt grow so high. But it has everything in it you need. Sylvana and husband also invited me to a nice dinner, everything cooked by herself.

Awesome place to chillax or as a base to explore the mountainside. Great feel in the home with cool man cave knick-nacks. Well set out to take full advantage of the spectacular views from inside and out. While Triora has limited eateries, it is a geniune hidden gem for it authenticity and friendly people.

Lovely room with amazing view over the valley. Clean and comfortable, very easy to find thanks to videos and directives from host. Great communication. The room is ideally located in the pedestrian historical centre but only few steps from parking. Nice selection of teas and herbal teas offered.

I've never been in a more rustic environment than in Mendatica. It's the ideal retreat from busy city life! You can walk for days in the forests without encountering anyone, see lots of wildlife and starry skies. The cabin is big and very well maintained, and beautifully decorated. The kitchenette is well-equipped, with pans, pots and bialettis, an induction cooking plate, a fridge and an electric oven. The owner, Piero, is very helpful and friendly. Something to keep in mind: Mendatica is very small. Consider cooking yourself (nearest restaurant is 15 min by car) and visiting a supermarket before going up in the mountains. But there is also a very small shop in the village for some basic groceries (pasta, passata, canned foods,...)

The cheese board was amazing for dinner. I highly recommend it. Breakfast was great. The bedroom was huge, the bed comfy, the room well heated. And had a large terrace as well. Overall everything was very pleasant.

    Our room was in the old part of the village, you got there walking through the little tunnels, walkways, ... for people with mobility problems it might be a bit difficult. The room was clean, quiet and cool. Breakfast was served in another building close by. We could easily find parking on the outskirts of the village which was a bit of a walk but not a problem for us.

    An exceptional view of the mountains in a picturesque village. The charming traditional house had all the amenities you could desire. The hosts were very friendly and helpful; they waited for us at the appartement with a burning fire in the wood stove. The village is a great place offering a lot of hiking trails; among them Mt Saccarello, a unique view of both Italian Ligurian Alps and the French Maritimes Alps.
