My wife and I had a wonderful Japanese ryokan experience at Syusuien. The service provided by the ryokan was top-notch, and we enjoyed genuine and unique traditional Japanese hospitality. Very close to the Sand bath. The host picked us up from the railway Station and also at the end of our stay, we got a lift back to the station. He offered for free for each of us a bicycle. As we got a complete house, we could get an imagine, how Japenese live. 100% satisfaction!

Very well preserved Showa era ryokan with very kind and pleasant staff. We could also borrow bikes to easiliy go around Ibusuki. There's even a private onsen!

I liked that the house is very big and located nicely - not far from the station, and the beach. And there is a store very close. I couldn’t find the tea bags, and the host helped me quickly and even brought some cake :) There is a toilet on the second floor which is very convenient considering that the stairs is very steep. The TV is also quite big.
