We loved everything. The place is so beautiful and located on the Nakasendo. The little neighbourhood is very cute. The garden was a magic touch. The beds were very comfortable. Although breakfast at the cafe was delicious. We loved our stay. My daughter said that it was her dream house.

We picked Nagataki based on the stellar reviews and they were all correct, what a wonderful family run ryokan. The hospitality was fantastic, they were truly welcoming, kind and thoughtful and the food was excellent. Meals were seasonal with persimmon, chestnut and mushrooms among so many other delicacies - truly delicious.

Wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately I stayed only for 3 nights. I wish I could stay longer. House is very spacious and very clean. Also very warm for cold nights. It’s a perfect place for long walks and great for someone who need a break from cities. Not that far from train station or big supermarket (half an hour walk).
