Everything exceeded expectations. Spacious, warm, great location at incredible ski slopes, good kitchen and bathroom, comfortable beds. The host was incredible and helped us with everything. We couldn’t have wished for more.

We recently stayed at this beautiful mountain cabin with our family and had a fantastic time. The cabin was very cozy and welcoming, with a lovely attic that our 6-year-old daughters absolutely loved. The rooms were simple but had everything we needed, including tissue boxes in each room. The bathrooms were clean and well-equipped, and we particularly enjoyed the large wooden-clad bathroom. The kitchen was amazing and had all the equipment we needed, including cutlery, dishware and cookware, and also salt, pepper, olive oil, soy sauce and other cooking items. It was also quite spacious and had an XXL European-style dishwasher, which meant we only had to run it once every two days. The dining table was huge and ideal for families or groups of up to 7-8 friends. The living room had several sofas, a bookshelf with board games and some books (in English), and a very large flat-screen TV with streaming services like Netflix. Despite the cabin being located in the middle of the snow, the heating worked perfectly, and we always felt comfortable. There was also a wood-burning stove in the living room, although we didn't get to use it. The beds were comfortable and warm, and the Wi-Fi worked well, although it did fail one day. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and when we reported the Wi-Fi issue, he came over immediately to fix it. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He picked us up from the train station and accompanied us to the supermarket to buy somre groceries. After check-out, he also took us to send our luggage and accompanied us back to the train station. He even lent us a car while we stayed, which we used to go to a ski resort for a day. Although the cabin was not cheap, we found that the quality-price ratio was good. We highly recommend this beautiful cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing mountain getaway with family or friends.

Mickey and Mary went above and beyond to show my partner and I the best of Hakuba. Not only did they introduce us to outstanding local restaurants and onsens—they offered transport to and from the places we were interested in exploring! If it weren't for Mickey's recommended timing for our Tsugaike Nature Park outing, we would have missed our window into the most phenomenal views I have seen during my three years in Japan. Summer Leaves didn't just make our Hakuba experience possible—Mickey and Mary made the trip our most memorable yet. The house was comfortable. Located among private houses, the location was serene and a real retreat for a break.5 minutes by car to Tsugaike Kogen ski resort made it abreeze to drop off skiers and pick them up when done! The heating was perfect and never too drying and the washing machine and dryer was marvellous. The kitchen was fully equipped and we actually made dinner in the house as going out at night in the snow didnt sound appealing! Mr Kudo lives next door and always available if needed. he even ofered to drive us around.
