food was excellent with local specialties. staff did their best to translate and explain in english. free midnight ramen was a nice surprise. be sure to organize shuttle service from yuzawa in advance and be aware that currently many connections to the south and west are restricted due to heavy rain damage.

Clean and neat. Everything in the house was in order.

The staff were extra friendly and the bar next to the hostel really adds to the experience. The room was comfortable.

The hotel was kind enough to let us check in very late at night. They also had a free ice cream and curry service which was a pleasant surprise! In terms of facilities, they were fairly average. Also the room size was decent.
