Holiday Rentals in Achchamulai

The location is incredible right next to the river and the territory is very clean. We slept on a tree house and it was really cosy with nature sounds. We stayed two nights and did a full day safari that was organized by a host. In the early morning we took a walk around the village and enjoyed local hospitality. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!

Incredible place, very friendly staff, good food. Tarique organized a full day Safari in nearby Willpattu for us everything worked out very fine. We saw an angry elephant, many birds, a leopard and a quarter of a sloth bear.

We loved our stay at Wild Wadi Wilpattu. The hosts were so sweet and kind and took such good care of us. Every day they cooked the best home cooked meals for us and the food was SO delicious! We booked the safari with Priyashntha and he was the best guide ever! The villa was in the middle of nature and very close to the entrance of the national park. There were only two jeeps at the entrance when we arrived and we were able to watch the animals completely alone by ourselves, without any crowds. It was such a magical experience. Thank you Wild Wadi Wilpattu team for being such amazing hosts!

Prasanna is an extremely friendly host and really makes you feel at home. Room was great and food is so delicious. Great way to start our Sri Lanka trip!

Our stay in Luna laguna has been one of the biggest highlight of our trip in Sri Lanka. The hotel is near the lagoon in a very well maintained garden. What we loved the most: - The place. everything in this hotel is breathtaking. The swimming pool, the rooms, the garden have a charm that make it so special. - The food. A special huge thanks to the talented chef that offered us the best food we had in Sri Lanka. You deserve a big reward for your job. - The people. People working in the hotel are really really good heart people and do their best to make your stay as confortable as possible. A special thanks to django This stay was special for us and you truly contributed to it. I cannot recommend enough Luna laguna for your stay in Kalpitiya. Special advise: Kalpitiya is a very small town with not much to see but the lagoon is breathtaking for any water sport, for sure the best time to start or practice kite, wingfoil, sailboard

We stayed as a couple for 11 days in this beautiful cottage 1 minute from the beach. It is so quiet and you can relax and retreat very well. There is also a whale skeleton and several beaches are within walking distance. It is also a kitesurfing paradise and there are many donkeys here. You can easily cater for yourself, but there are also several restaurants nearby. The owners are next door and are happy to help at every opportunity. We would come back any time. :-)

Hashan is an awesome host! He is very caring and you can always count on him for anything and have nice chats! We basically found a new friend! His little resort is very cozy. The rooms were simple but you had everything you needed. You can choose your breakfast and Dinner Time and the food was really good too. His dogs and his cat are super friendly and cute and he takes care not only of his customers but also of all the animals. Thanks again for having us, it was a great experience ❤️

I could have never imagined such a wonderful place for my stay in Sri Lanka. Arrived at Susantha's place to learn kitesurfing for one week and then I was supposed to travel another 3. I canceled all my plans and stayed at Sun Wind Beach. Kitesurfing. It FELT LIKE HOME, but a sort of special home where you get really immersed in the Sri Lankan way of living, being, leaving all worries apart. From wonderful company always, with exchanges that make you grow, to meeting people that are drifted by similar curiosities, and then enjoying your beach hut in a green tropical garden, hidden by palm trees and refreshed by the wind, waiting for another cooking masterpiece of Susantha's mother, be it breakfast or dinner or lunch. Whether you are SOLO TRAVELING or IN COUPLE, I could not think of a better place to experience the AUTHENTIC Sri Lankan way of living or meeting people that will inspire you, become your friends. It is also the only place in Kalpitiya that is FULLY BUILT and RUN by LOCAL KITESURFERS. Just listen to Susantha's story of how he discovered kiteboarding, of how his life changed when opening this resort, of all the (extended) family-work that made this place possible (such as his grand mother braiding the palm tree leaves that are now the rooftops of the beach huts) One more thing to share, the KITESURFING LESSONS. I am not a sports person, but Susantha and his team were not only able to teach me how to do it, but also to make me ENJOY IT in such a way that I DREAM OF KITES AND DOWNWINDERS. So patients, so eager to make all their students succeed. When something went wrong with kite control (which happens a lot at first), it was a reason to laugh about and try again. Persevere until the end, that's the mindset they transmit. And they stay with you, teaching you, rescuing you, until you become independent. During my stay, I also met some of his ex-students, so happy to be back in this special place, still so connected to Susantha and his team.

Definitely worth going!!! The owners are super helpful. We felt like at home. You can rent scooter from them in a really good money! It was so easy to move around thanks to that!!! They served us delicious breakfasts and dinners (amazing rice with seafood)! Amazing spot close to kalpitya beach for kitesurfing. Just keep in mind that in budget room you don't have a hot water :) for us budget was okay :)
