Our stay was exceptional and we were so sad to leave the Riad after a sunny afternoon spent on the roof terrace. The photos don’t do this place justice. The service could not have been any better - all the staff were extremely hospitable and made a fantastic breakfast every morning. Everything from the yoghurt to the cakes, pancakes and egg tagine prepared in their lovely kitchen. The rooms were lovely and we were able to have our clothes washed after a week spent travelling around morocco. The location inside the Medina is ideal, just 5 minutes from the bus station on foot. We did horse riding and surfing and the tours collected us right outside the Medina which was very convenient. Finally, it was very close to what turned out of be our favourite little fish restaurant, le vague bleue, which was also convenient! Thank you Dar Awil, we hope to come back again! In the meantime, we will recommend this lovely spot to anyone we know travelling to beautiful Essaouira!

Riad Kafila is located in Medina and though it was hard to find it at first, Abdil came out to meet us just at the Bab Sbaa entrance and took us to the riad helping out with the luggage. Our room with the ocean view was wonderful as well as the whole authentic interior of the riad, to say nothing of the rooftop with the dining room and the open terrace. Breakfasts were so delicious, nutritious, beautifully served, finger-licking good!!! 100 points for breakfasts, the views, service and hospitality! We didn't want to leave! We're happy to have booked Riad Kafila! We do recommend it to the visitors of Essaouira! Many thanks to Abdil and the staff!

My stay at this Riad in Essaouira was absolutely incredible! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the most wonderful, friendly, and warm staff who made me feel completely at home. The cleanliness of the Riad was impeccable, and the delightful fragrance that filled the air added a special touch to the experience. The adorable cats roaming around were such a joy and made the atmosphere even more charming. The highlight, however, was the delicious Moroccan breakfast – it was 100% authentic and simply fantastic. This Riad truly captures the essence of Moroccan hospitality, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Essaouira!

We stayed here for two nights using it as a base before finding something different. Having moved to somewhere else we realised how beautiful this place is. The breakfast is amazing. And Helene who served the breakfast is lovely. The basic room was a little cramped for two people and two suitcases but still very nicely decorated. I would definitely stay there again.

Beatifully located riad in the heart of the medina. The room was cosy and clean with a lot of amenities. The staff was really helpful and polite. Breakfast was amazingly rich and could be adjusted to our dietary preferences .it is served under relaxing music creating a nice atmosphere. There is a terrace on the top floor where you can chill have a drink /watch the sunset.

    The Villa is beautiful and the garden is a true paradise. The kitchen was well equipped and there is enough room for every one. The facilities in the garden were a bonus. The hosts are so very friendly and treated us on Moroccan tea. The speak either French or English. We really recommend this location.

    Villa Maya is situated in a quite area at 30 min from Essaouira by car. The house has really relaxed atmosphere and the staff was so kind and did everything to make it comfortable for us. We could swim, play jeu de boules, dart.. Could really recommend Villa Maya.

    We all really enjoyed our time in this villa. The host was really welcoming and was always happy to help. I'd recommend any large groups visiting Esaaouira to book this Villa as they will not regret it.
