Holiday Rentals in Bhurkīā

Shortly after booking a room Shardul reached out to us and provided us with travel information. Once in Nepal our plans changed and Shardul was very helpful in picking us up and accommodating us an extra night. Upon arrival we immediately felt very welcomed and comfortable at this lovely homestay! Everyday Shardul and his family provided us with delicious Nepali meals made from the fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden. Thanks to the preparation and attention to detail there was always enough variety of food even on the long safari days. Our absolute highlight in Bardia was going on jeep and walking safaris with Shardul himself. With his professional experience and a bit of luck on our side, we were fortunate to spot the elusive tiger! Shardul’s competence in his profession and passion for wildlife conservation made us feel safe while out in the jungle. We regret having to leave and hope to be back in the future! Relaxing environment set by the river you can swim in

Budhi and Sonja are excellent an attentive hosts. There good communication before my arrival. The atmosphere is very welcoming, with a lovely garden with a fire pit to keep the chills away. The food was delicious and I ate outside in the garden every day. The Homestay is set in a rural location with many authentic farms/homesteads within walking distance. There was a vast range of activities from walks to various safari's and all arranged by the Homestay. I was lucky enough to see a Tiger along with many other animals and birds on one of the walking safari's in Bardia National Park. The room was clean and spacious and I really appreciated the ethical/sustainable attitude towards waste here.

Had a great time at Jungle Base Camp with Hukum and his family! The lodge is basic but there is everything you need : fast internet, room with private bathroom, food is great, especially the chapatis, common area for chilling. Location is really close from the jungle and the park entrance! I had safari with Hukum during three days, we were really closed to see the tiger as we heard him roar in the bushes 30 meters from us, but You'll see plenty of other animals too! Hukum and his family were really helpful and did everything they can to help me. Special thanks to Hukum's son, 6yo, who made me play plenty of games at the lodge. Will come back for sure!
