We loved our stay in Casinha Siberiana. Alex and Nadia were very friendly and warm. It was interesting to hear about their passion for dog racing. They have created a beautiful place to stay in the middle of nature, which is very peaceful and relaxing. They also offer a various dog walking/biking/cart experiences for visitors, which we sadly had no chance to engage with as we were in rush coming back home to Spain. Breakfast was really big and tasty - from savoury 3 kinds of breads with hams and cheese to croissants with homemade jams! We loved to see how well the dogs were treated; they were very well behaved and super cute! If you want an unforgettable and special North Portugal experience, you have to stay with Nadia and Alex :) will definitely come back if in this area again!

Character hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was clean and comfortable. Claudia and the owner were very friendly and helpful. There is a village 1km away but for us the hotel had everything we needed. We cooked our own evening meal in the well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was provided and very tasty.

An old charming house with extreme care at details. Jose, the owner, is a fabulous host, he is so kind and welcoming, as well as his wife, and with a lot of stories to share. The room and the bathroom were crystal clean. Great and fullfilling breakfast in the morning. There's no lift, but one floor only. If room is available, his big private garage can accomodate your car. Also very easy to reach by car, walking distance from all attractions (Trancoso historic centre is not that big). An accomodation that I would recommend hands down and would return.

I wish I could give more stars! The location was perfect - dead centre of Troncoso. The accomodation was everything we needed and more. The design of the apartment was impeccable and up market. The hosts were lovely and very attentive. They even repaired my mother's watch for her and checked that the restaurant they recommended would have the meals we wanted. Honestly one of the best stays ever!

The staff was amazing, very thoughtful and helpful with everything we needed. We were staying there to go to a wedding close by so we were pretty clueless about the place so they explained to us the history of the church that sits right next to it and that's definitely worth a visit.

This pace is beautiful. It is very peaceful, the staff are attentive. The beds were super comfortable. There is everything in the kitchen you need to create a lovely meal. This was very welcome after weeks of travelling I enjoyed being able to prepare delicious food for my family.

Our stay was more like a visit with good friends and a highlight of our month long journey through Portugal. We tried to stray from the main tourist route and were amply rewarded! Our hosts, Luiz & Celia, restored the family mansion to its original splendor, in a very authentic manner - the main house as well as the enticing adjacent old stone cottages, which are self- catering. Luiz took us to the remains of the Roman bridge and road, well worth a visit. He also showed us around his own house, a remarkable 'house museum'. Definately worth a detour.
