She also booked our bus for the next step of our trip which was very helpful. The room was great, very large, air conditioning and drinkable water dispenser available. Breakfast was delicious and Vi's mom read our palm lines the last morning which was a great experience. Overall great place and great people!Guest review byCélestePeople with friends

This family are so welcoming and kind and warm and created the most perfect local feeling for my stay in Chau Doc. I highly recommend cooking dinner with them each evening and asking for as many tips on what to do and see in the area as they are very helpful. They put me in touch with the nicest man named Thien who gave me a complete tour of the area including visiting floating fishing villages, rice paddies, the tra au forest, Sam mountain and its pagoda. I really liked to cook with Diem, she taught us to prepare spring rolls and we fried them in a pan on a wood fire outside the house, everything typically Vietnamese! There is the possibility to have bicycles for free and ride around the village. It turns out that the third bedroom was in the attic with only a little opening for a window. The A/C was very noisy and only worked intermittently. On top of it all, the bathroom was located on the ROOF and it can only be reached by walking across the roof and out in the rain!
