What a beautiful home. We were so comfortable in this large Karoo house. It was a gorgeous stay.

Lovely and romantic rustic cabin away from the centre of town on the grounds of Middelfontein Farm. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is present. I was told to get some firewood but it warm enough without. There's no electricity but heaps of candles, an oil lamp and a powerbank would you need to charge a phone. The town is about 15 minutes drive and has all you need including a tire repair shop (which I needed after the beautiful drive from Calvinia). Nice hikes with lots of plants on the farm.

Didn't actually stay there due to some error in booking.com system, but the owner was kind enough to arrange alternative accommodation when I arrived there late at night. Very friendly and helpful.
