Beautifully cooked authentic Albanian food. Edmond was our guide for a day taking us hiking to waterfalls and gorges. We highly recommend this place to stay.

Overall a great value for money. The owners were also very friendly and helped us with information for the weather and hiking trail.

There are two traditional restaurants in walking distance from Wild River-equally welcoming, tasty and value for money We took a walk to the mighty Vjosa river, a friendly shepherd gave us some directions, what a magical spot! Permet is a short drive away and certainly worth visiting! We made the most of the thermal springs and unspoilt views, it was such a treat to immerse ourselves in al this and then return to rest up so well at Wild River guest house!

We spent six days in their home, located in a quiet neighbourhood just outside the centre of Gjirokastra, with a stunning view over the mountains of the Drino Valley. There are many places to discover in the city as well as in its surroundings and Diana assisted us in every possible way to help us get around. We were also overjoyed by the traditional breakfast of Barda which was made from homegrown and local products. In the morning we would also sometimes drink a coffee together, or we would spent the evenings playing chess and having endless conversations. We truly felt we had becomepart of their family. If you are looking for an homestay experience, this will definitely be the right place to stay.

The owner offered to carry our bikes up all 4 flights of stairs to keep them safe in the apartment. We had a spare bedroom to store them in. He also arranged to come back in the morning to carry them down again!

Especially as the lady of the house came to bring us delicious food several times. She brought us rice pourage which brought me back to my youth 🤗 The bed is super comfortable, the shower and WiFi are great. The apartment has everything and more than you can wish for as its awfully furnished house. The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed the road up to the center and it was easy to park the car infront of the apartment. As every location up till now has been challenging to find in Albania. For us we followed google maps and then drove up the hill until we saw a bruncht blue house on the left hand side.
